A recent gathering in Madrid united religious representatives, cultural figures and civic voices to reflect on the World Day for Cultural Diversity. The dialogue included a representative of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, a specialist from the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, a Roma guitarist and composer, and Denise González. Speakers offered reflections from faith, culture and public service on how education can reduce prejudice.
In the discussion, participants considered themes such as tolerance, social cohesion and the prevention of discrimination. Fundación Mejora framed the initiative with Scientology’s focus on human dignity and social betterment. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to European and international institutions, said that cultural and religious diversity can become a strength when rooted in respect for human rights.
